Listening to: Daichi no Uta by Sachiko Muratani
Today I finished watching Sasami: Mahou Shoujo Club season one. My honest opinion of it? I completely loved it. People may think I loved it just because it has something to do with Sasami, but to be perfectly honest, it didn’t feel like Sasami that much, or Misao for that matter. It wasn’t because of the character designs, or shall I say re-designs, but it was because Chisa Yokoyama wasn’t the seiyuu for Sasami. Don’t get me wrong, Mana Ogawa did a wonderful job as the seiyuu for Sasami, but I’ve been used to hearing Chisa-sama’s voice as Sasami for eight years.
Anyway, the anime in itself was very good, and worth it for sure. The animation was spectacular and the background designs were amazing. The storyline was well-written and the series didn’t once get boring or mundane for me. The soundtrack was beautifully composed as well. This is an anime I would have loved even if I (gasp) had never known who Sasami was. Naturally, I took a million screencaps, so here they are!

the happy-go-lucky and high-spirited Sasami Iwakura from the opening “Sweet MAGIC”

I don’t think that’s the right way to go about getting the baby to stop crying…
Well, that’s it for the screencaps! I hope someone enjoys them. I really hope Funimation licenses the second season. If they don’t, I can only hope for a subber.
Until later!
